Hi, I’m Adam Conroy – the person behind One for the People. Music has always been at the heart of my life, and I’ve built a career that reflects both my passion for the dancefloor and my commitment to supporting others in the industry.

I work as a commercial DJ, bringing energy and dedication to corporate events, parties, and functions — always with the goal of keeping people dancing and creating unforgettable moments, from the first track to the last. Alongside that, I perform and release music under the name One for the People — a project built on freedom, inclusion, and connection. As a producer, I create dancefloor-ready tracks that have been played all over the world, with One for the People sets combining that music with my own distinct style.

I’m also the founder of Sting Recordings, a label that champions new music and forward-thinking sounds. Beyond performance and releases, I’m passionate about artist development — helping emerging talent navigate the music industry, grow their artistry, and find their own voice.

I am a lecturer and careers advisor at BIMM Manchester, where I combine my academic background in electronic music production with my focus on neurodiversity in dance music. I also provide support on creative development and record label management across the BIMM campuses in Europe. Alongside this, I speak publicly on topics around music, inclusion, and the creative industries, aiming to open doors for others and share what I’ve learned.

For me, One for the People isn’t just an artist name — it’s a philosophy. Whether I’m behind the decks, in the studio, mentoring an artist, or speaking on stage, my mission is the same: to bring people together through music, empower creativity, and make sure everyone has a place on the dancefloor.
